Nex is the Network viewer and editor for TRACKS. Transport modellers use Nex to build and edit transport networks, add and edit public transport services, analyse travel times, and view traffic performance. It is also used to prepare landuse and parking data files. Nex View is similar to Nex in all respects save one: it cant save any changes that are made to the network. Apart from that it is fully functional. Users can:
- view loaded networks;
- assess link volumes, speeds, and approach delays;
- assess intersection movements and average vehicle delays; and
- Create and save cordons of particular interest that can be sent back to GPC for sub area analysis.
- Prepare data for Win/Road simulation.
Nex View has become popular with engineering companies conducting civil works in areas where there are TRACKS models. Design Engineers and transport planners can view model results for traffic impact assessments directly rather than waiting to have them processed.NexView can be downloaded here
